They are extremely vulnerable to changes in climate, including flooding and droughts. 12% of global methane emissions are estimated to come from rice fields and nitrous oxide, an extremely potent GHG, may also be produced. However, our farmers can drastically reduce GHG emissions from their fields by carefully managing their water and fertilizer use.

By aggregating thousands of farmers we can accurately determine GHG emission reductions from their practices, participate in the carbon credit market, and provide them an additional revenue stream that further motivates farmers to maintain sustainable production practices.
